The Government has announced its decisions on levels of financial support to be available through the Renewables Obligation (RO) for large-scale renewable electricity generation from 2013-17. The decisions were announced as providing certainty for developers and continuity of support as part of the transition towards Electricity Market Reform. The level of support for onshore wind will be reduced to 0.9 ROCs, guaranteed until at least March 2014. Reflecting expectations that costs of offshore wind will fall as deployment increases, the level of support for offshore wind will fall from 2 ROCs/MWh in 2014-15, to 1.9 ROCs in 2015-16 and 1.8 ROCs in 2016-17. www.decc.gov.uk/en/content/cms/news/wms_ro_lm/wms_ro_lm.aspx .
