Introduction
In 2011 the Scottish government set itself an ambitious target to have a national renewables generation capacity that matched its electricity demand in 2020. This joint BIEE and University of Edinburgh Business School evening seminar will consider the prospects for achieving that target as well as its impact and implications. The format of the evening will be based on presentations from three expert speakers on their positions followed by a participative discussion and debate. The event will be chaired by Prof Charles Hendry, former Minister of State, DECC and BIEE President.
