Introduction
The world is committed through the Paris Agreement to limit the global average temperature rises to well below 2°C and pursue efforts to hold the increase to 1.5°C. The Climate Action Tracker independently tracks the emission reduction commitments and climate actions of countries towards this goal. In this seminar, Climate Action Tracker ‘s latest analysis of pledges, policies and outcomes will be presented.
To help achieve emissions reductions, carbon pricing has been increasingly implemented at regional, national and subnational levels. The seminar will also look at what has been achieved in carbon pricing around the world., and how such initiatives may enable further emissions reductions in future.
