BIEE recently held its biennial academic conference – its ninth – in Oxford on September 19-20, 2012. BIEE members and conference delegates can now view the presentations and papers from the conference in the Resources section of this website.
The conference examined the impact of energy demands from rapidly growing economies and new sources of energy supply on the task of securing reliable and affordable energy without excessive carbon emissions. Topics that were debated included: The long-term future to 2050, International pressures on Europe’s energy supplies, and Paying for Investment. More than 150 delegates attended three plenary and ten parallel sessions together with the Research Roadshow in which PhD students gave poster-based presentations on their work.
Plenary session presentations can be found under Conference Presentations and the parallel session and posters can be found under Academic Papers.
