CCUS 2024, now in its sixth year provides an excellent opportunity for the UK Government, industry and wider stakeholders to drive progress on CCUS, demonstrating the contribution that CCUS can make to meeting the goals of the Paris Agreement ahead of COP29 in Azerbaijan.
The 2024 conference takes place in a critical year for CCUS. With the selection of the Track-1 and Track-2 CCUS Clusters last year, the UK is close to reaching final investment decision for the first UK CCUS projects. The CCUS industry is also ramping up in the EU and beyond – the recent publication of the EU Industrial Carbon Management strategy has reinforced the EU’s commitment to the deployment of CCS, and at the international level, CCUS received its first ever mention in the final outcome of COP28 last year.
