ABOUT THE BRITISH INSTITUTE OF ENERGY ECONOMICS
The British Institute Of Energy Economics was established in its present form in 1980, becoming a registered charity in 1985.  Membership is open to all with an interest in energy economics and energy policy.  BIEE’s membership is drawn from a wide variety of fields including universities, government, international agencies, regulatory bodies, industry and the financial sector.  BIEE’s aim is to encourage the study of energy economics and energy policy by bringing together individuals with a wide range of energy expertise and encouraging the exchange of ideas and information.  Membership fees support a programme of meetings and publications, which further the BIEE’s aims.  BIEE is the UK affiliate of the International Association of Energy Economics (IAEE).  The British Institute of Energy Economics is a UK company limited by guarantee and registered as a charity.
